Who We Are
“When life throws you curveballs, dance through the pain, paint through the storm, sing through the heartache, and bond with animals through the uncertainty. That’s sublimation.”
Born a dancer, I discovered the power of movement long before earning the title of Dr. Kellie McFarlane, PsyD, NY licensed clinical psychologist. Treating diverse populations within the greater New York City area, I saw how creative expression could unlock healing and transformation in all ages. Adults flocked to my weekly movement groups, and teenagers thrived when I incorporated art and music into individual sessions. Inspired by this, Sublime Psych was born: a primary prevention program that uses strengths-based practices, such as positive psychology and mindfulness, to manage daily stress, anxiety, and depression. We create a space where individuals can tap into different ways of processing emotions and foster deeper self-awareness.
Based in Brooklyn, New York, Sublime Psych believes mental and emotional well-being should be accessible to all, especially within marginalized communities. We are committed to empowering individuals to achieve optimal mental health through culturally responsive coaching and the transformative power of creative expression and companionship.
